Tormek T7 Grinder
For sharpening planing and moulding knives and other tools. 220 V (or 120 V). Comes with a very informative, hardback instruction book of 147 pages.
Keep sharp with the Tormek method
The grinding stone revolves slowly, no more than around 100 rpm, dipping into a water bath as it does so. It has everything needed to ensure perfect sharpening! All jigs and accessories fit both the T7 and T3. We recommend the Tormek T7 if you need to sharpen HSS steel for Logosol’s machines, as its bigger motor can deal with higher grinding pressures. Both models have high quality motors and shafts made of stainless steel. T3 has a strong plastic stand, and the stand for the T7 is made of steel plate.
The Tormek T-7 is a strong and well-tried grinder that is now available in a Logosol version. The Logosol Edition comes with everything you need for getting the best sharpening for your Logosol planer/moulder knives:
- The grindstone is the Tormek Blackstone Silicon, developed to sharpen tools of HSS and other kinds of high-alloy steel. It can even touch up tungsten carbide. The combination of abrasive hardness, shape and grain size is optimized to work efficiently at the Tormek system’s low RPM. Its faster material removal is an advantage especially when shaping tools with a large bevel surface, where the grinding pressure is limited, for example, planer blades and woodturning skews. This stone is normally an extra accessory, but now it is included from the start. It is the right stone for sharpening knives for planer/moulders and joinery machines.
- Jigs for planing knives, moulding knives, chisels and blades for planes are all included.
- Stone grader, truing tool for the stone, AngleMaster (measures the angle of the edge), honing compound and a handbook of 160 pages are included.
- Extended drip-tray for catching run-off when sharpening your long planer blades.
This is a grinder that you will find useful in all stages of life, not just for your Logosol knives. It can handle everything from scissors to axes – everything that you want to be sharp.
